Kuno Safari
There are multiple gates into Kuno National Park. Choosing the right one shapes your whole safari experience.
The main and most accessible gateway into Kuno National Park, with good road access, the main visitor facilities and a varied landscape of hills, grasslands, river areas and water bodies. Most first-time visitors base themselves near Tiktoli and take their safaris from this gate. Tiktoli is open from 1 October to 30 June and closes during the monsoon.
A more open landscape with grasslands and good wildlife potential, approached from the Pohri side of the park — a different experience to the varied hills-and-river terrain near Tiktoli.
A remote and very open scrub landscape on a different side of Kuno, with limited visitor infrastructure and much more challenging access than Tiktoli or Ahera. Best suited to visitors who already know the park or are travelling with a guide who does.
