Experiences
Build your safari around wildlife photography, light and time in the field.
This safari is planned around photography, not just sightings — early starts for soft morning light, longer dwell time at productive spots, and vehicle positioning that keeps your subject and background in mind.
Because a fixed group vehicle can limit how long you stay at a sighting, a private vehicle is strongly recommended for anyone shooting seriously — ask us about availability when you enquire.
We keep ethics in view throughout: no baiting, no crowding a sighting, and following Forest Department distance rules at all times.
Best for: Photographers — from serious enthusiasts to professionals — who want the safari planned around the shot, not just the sighting.
A telephoto lens (300mm+) covers most sightings; a second, wider body or lens helps for landscape and habitat shots.
Dust is a real factor on jungle roads — bring a rain cover / dry bag for your camera and change lenses inside the vehicle where possible.
Faster shutter speeds help with a moving subject; a beanbag or window mount steadies longer lenses on a moving vehicle.
Shoot early and late for softer light — this is also when wildlife activity tends to be higher.
Keep an eye on background and water bodies, not just the animal — Kuno's grassland and river landscapes are part of the shot.
Never bait a sighting or press a driver/guide to get closer than distance rules allow — the shot is never worth disturbing the animal.
Early-light and late-light session timing where permits allow
Private-vehicle recommendation for uninterrupted shooting time
Guide briefing on field conditions, likely light and vehicle positioning
Responsible, non-disruptive approach to every sighting
